Jo Ann Schneider Farris is the author of two books. Her book, HOW TO JUMP AND SPIN ON INLINE SKATES, is the only book that has been written on inline figure skating.

Jo Ann is also a professional skating coach who teaches ice skating, inline skating, and hockey skating skills. Her articles on skating have appeared in various skating publications including the U.S. Figure Skating's Parents' website. She is also About.com's Figure Skating Guide, so almost daily, she writes about figure skating. Jo Ann also writes a weekly "Figure Skating 101" column for IceNetwork.com.

She also loves inline skating and many of Jo Ann's inline skating tips and tricks have also been published throughout the internet. Jo Ann has also written articles on homeschooling and unschooling teaching methods, parenting, and religion.

Jo Ann is a graduate of the famous Hollywood Professional School, a school that once was in southern California where many serious figure skaters attended, including Peggy Fleming. She is also a graduate of Colorado College and holds a teaching credential from California State University Long Beach.
